One of the main aims of Symphony In The Glen Free Concert program is to provide excellent classical music performances in an atmosphere welcoming to children and families. The response has been outstanding, with children making up more than a quarter of the audience in many cases. To maximize the children's exposure to the music, Symphony In The Glen introduced pre-concert activities in 1997. These parent/child activities are geared toward focusing the children on the music and the performance. The activities are designed for whole-family learning. There is nothing more powerful than the synergy created by parent and child learning together. These activities have proved enormously popular. |
